Over the last decade, HRA has been a Champion of Diaspora! Our team continues to drive best practices through promotion of diaspora direct investment, donor advocacy, government consultations on development spaces. Our relentless dedication to eradicating poverty and our contributions have been shared across our networking platforms, local and global projects. 

HRA’s representation at global conferences, humanitarian assistance partnership meetings, cluster working groups, NGO/donor diaspora consultations among other platforms promoting diasporas integration has supported the development of impactful policies in the development space. Our efforts, in partnership with key migration experts and government partners, have allowed us to identify funding for developing the first global diaspora framework to examine internal and external coordination in the humanitarianism system.

This engagement model will be the first step to assisting nations both host and countries of origin in best practices, guidelines, and other tools for working with the diaspora.

We believe the strategic approach is to define and co-development policies sat bilateral and multilateral levels, with the involvement of local authorities, humanitarian actors, and diasporas themselves for the implementation of co-development projects.
